The Straits Times reported on the InfinityGlove, a wireless glove with microfibre sensors woven into the fabric, one for each finger. Each sensor is about twice the thickness of a hair and filled with a conductive liquid metal, and bending a finger changes its signal. Gestures stand in for keyboard and controller functions, from changing slides to firing in a game, and the team had tested it on Battlefield V.
The glove weighs 40 grams, runs for about eight hours over Bluetooth and survived seven machine washes in the lab. Professor Lim said the aim was to go commercial within a year through Microtube, the start-up he founded with Dr Yeo Joo Chuan and Dr Yu Longteng.
