Who we are

Microtube Technologies Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201838271G) is a private company limited by shares, incorporated in Singapore on 11 November 2018. We build wearable haptics and soft sensing, and we operate this website (microtube.tech). We are the data controller for the personal information described below.

What we collect when you contact us

Our contact form is the only place on this site where we ask you for personal information. It collects:

The form also contains a hidden field that only automated spam bots fill in. It collects nothing from real visitors and exists solely to discard junk submissions.

If you email us directly instead, we hold whatever you choose to put in that email, for the same reason and on the same terms.

What is collected automatically when you visit

• Server logs. This site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps the standard web-server record of each request: IP address, browser type and version, the page requested and the time. This is produced by the hosting platform to deliver pages and defend against abuse, not by anything we have added.
• Google Fonts. Our two typefaces are loaded from Google’s font service, so Google sees your IP address and browser type when a page loads.
• Embedded videos. A few product pages embed a YouTube video. Where possible we use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set tracking cookies unless you press play, but Google still receives your IP address and browser type when the page loads.

What we do not do

• We use no analytics of any kind — no Google Analytics, no Netlify Analytics, no Plausible, Matomo or Hotjar.
• We use no advertising or social-media trackers, and no pixels.
• This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
• There are no accounts, logins or payments on this site, so we never handle passwords or card details.
• The FAQ chat assistant in the corner of each page runs entirely inside your own browser. It is a fixed list of written answers, not an AI service — nothing you type into it is sent to us or to anyone else, and nothing is recorded.
• The documentation search also runs entirely in your browser. Your search terms never leave your device.
• We never sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for profiling, automated decision-making or advertising.

Why we collect it, and our legal basis

We collect contact details for a single purpose: to answer your enquiry and carry on the conversation that follows — about a sale, a partnership, technical support or research. The automatic technical data above exists only so the site can be delivered, displayed and protected from abuse.

Where the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where your enquiry concerns buying from us, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act applies, you consent to this use by choosing to send us the message.

Who else sees it

• Netlify, our hosting provider, processes submissions on our behalf and stores them on its servers, which may be outside your country, including in the United States.
• Google receives your IP address and browser type when fonts and embedded videos load, and handles that data as its own controller under its own privacy policy.
• No one else. We use no CRM, mailing-list or marketing platform for enquiries from this site, and we disclose personal data otherwise only if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form submissions and the emails they generate for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and to keep a record of our dealings with you — normally no more than 24 months after our last exchange, unless we are working together, in which case we keep them for as long as that relationship lasts. Server logs are kept for the short period our hosting provider retains them.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email hello@microtube.tech and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge, and you never need an account or a form to ask.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses, researchers and developers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this notice

If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
