The short version. ARIS PRO collects the email address you sign in with, a few profile details, and the training sessions you record — including the bar velocity, power and estimated one-rep max it measures — so your history survives a lost or replaced phone. The raw signal from the band and your body measurements stay on your phone and are never uploaded. There is no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind, and we never sell your data. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app.
This notice is about the ARIS PRO mobile app and the ARIS band it pairs with. ARIS Go has its own notice, and our website, microtube.tech, has its own privacy notice.
Microtube Technologies Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201838271G), 15 Kent Ridge Crescent, Singapore, is the data controller for the information described here. Reach us at info@microtube.tech.
ARIS PRO and ARIS Go sign in to the same Microtube account and share one profile. If you use both, what each app sends is held under that one account. This notice covers what ARIS PRO sends; the ARIS Go notice covers what ARIS Go sends.
Everything below is either something you type in or something the app measures while you train. There is no hidden collection. You can use ARIS PRO without an account, in which case none of it is sent to us.
| Information | Why we hold it |
|---|---|
| Your email address | It is your account. We send a one-time code to it to prove the account is yours; we do not use it for marketing. |
| Profile details — name, gender, date of birth, height, weight, training goal, and your unit and language preferences | So your profile follows you to a new phone. Sent once, when you create the account. |
| Your training sessions — when each started and ended, the routine name, notes you add, the band placement, total volume and average effort (RPE) | Your training history, available on any phone you sign in on. |
| The sets inside each session — the exercise, load, reps, target reps, effort, and the figures the band measures: bar velocity, power, work, estimated one-rep max, and consistency, tempo, endurance, power, technique, hypertrophy and strength scores | The detail behind each session, your personal records and your progress over time. |
| A summary of each rep — its timing, velocity, power and relative height | So the per-rep breakdown of a set is still there on a new phone. |
| Sign-in security records — a one-way hash of each one-time code (never the code itself), the IP address the request came from, and a hash of your session token | To stop someone brute-forcing codes or reusing an old session. |
Some of what the app holds is deliberately kept on the device only. It is not uploaded, it is not backed up to us, and there is no place for it on our servers:
The app needs Bluetooth to find and connect to your ARIS band. On Android 11 and older, the operating system requires an app to hold the location permission before it will allow any Bluetooth scanning — that is an Android rule, not something we want. We do not collect, derive or store your location, and on Android 12 and newer we declare the scan as explicitly unrelated to location, which is why newer phones do not ask for it. Apart from Bluetooth and internet access, the app asks for no other permissions.
We hold this information to provide the app you asked us to provide — performing our contract with you. Where the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, that is our lawful basis, together with our legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure. Where Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act applies, you consent to it by creating an account, and may withdraw that consent by deleting the account.
Some of what you record — your weight and how you train — may count as health data in your country. We treat it that way: it is collected only because you chose to record it, used only to show it back to you, and never shared beyond the circumstances listed above. ARIS PRO is a training tracker, not a medical device.
We keep your account data for as long as the account exists. Delete the account and it goes immediately — see below. We do not currently keep backup copies of the app database, so nothing lingers in a backup afterwards. Sign-in security records are short-lived and are cleared when the account is deleted.
In the app, open Profile, tap the gear for Settings, then Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and everything attached to it from our servers, and erases everything the app stored on your phone. It happens straight away and cannot be undone. Because the account is shared, it also deletes anything ARIS Go stored on it.
If you have already uninstalled the app, you can still ask us to delete the account: request account deletion.
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or stop using it. Email info@microtube.tech and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
ARIS PRO is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will delete it.
If we change what the app collects or why, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
Ask us directly — we would rather explain it than leave you guessing.
