At Microtube Technologies, innovation is in our DNA. In 2018 we spun our microfluidic sensors out of the National University of Singapore, and in 2024 we spun out haptic feedback — dedicated to pioneering cutting-edge technologies in wearables and haptics for seamless interactions between the virtual and physical worlds.
A world where interactions between the virtual and physical are seamless — where digital experiences can be touched, felt and measured.
Deliver breakthrough solutions that redefine extended-reality user experiences and enhance human–machine interaction.
Our technology is built on award-winning science — our co-founder is a Fellow of the Royal Society and the US National Academy of Engineering.
Fellow of the Royal Society (UK) and the US National Academy of Engineering, and Director of NUS' Institute for Health Innovation & Technology (iHealthtech). A serial deep-tech founder of seven companies — including SGX-listed Biolidics — and a recipient of Singapore's President's Science Award.
Formerly Microtube's COO and now its CEO, Marshall is the team's hardware lead. With an industrial design background, he takes products from prototype to production — finding the right manufacturing partners and driving commercialization across HEXR, ARIS and FLEXR — while setting the company's strategy and direction as CEO.
Microtube's CTO and the team's software and product developer, Edmond works across the entire stack — from algorithm development and VR/XR to product design. He invented ARIS, drawing on his background as a certified fitness instructor, and built the HEXR developer kit that opens the glove up to other developers.
Microtube's original founder, Dr Yeo turned his PhD research on soft microtube sensing — the technology that became FLEXR — into the company itself. He raised its S$1.1 million pre-seed round and set the vision for FLEXR as a platform for wearable technology. Microtube's first CEO, he stepped back in 2025 and now supports the company from its advisory board.
Microtube Technologies spins out of the National University of Singapore, built on microfluidic soft-sensing.
