HEXR Window Tester is a free Windows app for anyone with a HEXR glove. Connect a left or right glove over Bluetooth, drive any finger, and feel the difference between a slow squeeze and a 30 Hz buzz — no code, no Unity, no SDK.
It also runs a one-click check across all six channels, so a glove coming off the bench or back from a customer can be signed off in seconds.
You get a single installer, HexR-Window-Tester-Setup.exe. Run it and it installs in a few seconds, leaves a HEXR Window Tester icon on your desktop, and opens straight into the connect screen. Nothing else to set up — no Python, no drivers, no SDK, and no pairing the glove in Windows Bluetooth settings.
The app isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning the first time. Choose More info → Run anyway.
Left and right gloves are separate devices. Scan, connect one or both, and drive them together or independently.
Thumb to palm, plus the palm actuators. Steady pressure or vibration, with the strength, ramp and frequency under your hand.
Quick test drives all six channels to full, measures what each one reaches, and reports pass or fail per channel.
Three steps down the side: connect a glove, test it, and run a quick test. Pick which hand you are driving and which fingers to move, choose a steady squeeze or a vibration, set the strength, and press trigger. Release lets it go.
Down the right-hand side the glove reports back live — pressure on every channel, battery, and the air supply feeding it — so you can see a weak finger rather than having to feel for one. An all off button sits on every screen, and the Escape key does the same thing.
