The Heart Experience is an interactive demo that teaches healthy living through touch. Using the HEXR haptic glove together with Leap Motion hand-tracking, users reach out, hold a virtual heart in their hand, and feel it beating — not as an animation on a screen, but as a pulse they can physically sense.
Each heart reflects a different lifestyle. A strong, steady beat represents a healthy, well-exercised heart; others show the toll of smoking, poor diet or a lack of activity. As users move between them, they feel the rhythm change — faster, weaker, more strained — so the difference between a healthy heart and an unhealthy one becomes something you experience rather than something you're told.
It turns an abstract health message into a hands-on moment. Feeling a heartbeat labour under years of smoking, or steady into a calm, strong rhythm with exercise, lands in a way a poster or lecture rarely does — which makes it a powerful tool for schools, science centres, health campaigns and public outreach.
